The three-cornered fight in Sembawang GRC was officially called for the People’s Action Party (PAP), which secured 67.75 per cent of the vote, defeating the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP), which received 29.93 per cent, and the National Solidarity Party (NSP), which received 2.32 per cent.
The PAP team, led by Health Minister Ong Ye Kung, garnered 83,946 votes, while SDP received 37,082 votes and NSP received 2,872.
A total of 123,900 valid votes were cast. Sembawang GRC has 133,919 registered voters.
The GRC’s boundaries have changed since the 2020 election, with polling districts carved out to form the new Sembawang West SMC.
The PAP slate included Ong Ye Kung, Vikram Nair, Mariam Jaafar, Ng Shi Xuan, and Gabriel Lam.
The SDP team comprised Bryan Lim, Surayah Akbar, James Gomez, Damanhuri Abas, and Alfred Tan.
The NSP team, led by party chief Spencer Ng, included Raiyian Chia, Verina Ong, Lee Wei, and Yadzeth Hairis.
