GE2025 Results: SM Lee’s PAP team wins Ang Mo Kio GRC with 78.95% in 3-cornered fight against SUP and PPP

The People’s Action Party (PAP) team led by Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong has won Ang Mo Kio GRC with 78.95% of votes in GE2025.

The three-cornered contest included the Singapore United Party (SUP) and People’s Power Party (PPP).

Polls on 3 May 2025 saw PAP secure 115,209 votes, while SUP and PPP received 15,811 and 14,901 votes respectively.

SUP earned 10.84% and PPP 10.21%, both falling below the 12.5% threshold needed to retain their election deposits.

Both parties will forfeit S$13,500 per candidate.

The PAP’s performance improved by 7.04 percentage points from GE2020, when it won 71.91% against the Reform Party.

Lee’s team included Darryl David, Nadia Ahmad Samdin, Victor Lye and former senior civil servant Jasmin Lau.

Lye, 63, previously contested in Aljunied GRC in both the 2015 and 2020 general elections under the PAP banner, though the team was defeated by the Workers’ Party on both occasions.

He served as chairman of the PAP Bedok Reservoir-Punggol branch for 13 years before stepping down in February this year.

PPP’s team was led by William Lim, with Martinn Ho, Thaddeus Thomas, Samuel Lee and Heng Zheng Dao.

SUP’s slate featured Andy Zhu, Noraini Yunus, Ridhuan Chandran, Nigel Ng and Vincent Ng.

In a Facebook post on 4 May 2025, Lee thanked voters for their trust and pledged to serve the community with dedication.
