Singapore lit up the night sky in style to welcome 2025 with the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2025 (MBSC 2025), a spectacular celebration presented by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). This year’s event was extra special, serving as part of the islandwide ONE Countdown festivities to commemorate Singapore’s 60th birthday, SG60.

The countdown reached its crescendo with a dazzling fireworks display, unfolding in four stunning chapters before midnight. The show, which lit up the iconic Marina Bay skyline, debuted specially curated orchid motifs designed by the creative team behind STAR ISLAND.

In the lead-up to the big moment, visitors enjoyed a host of magical experiences. At illumi, guests were enchanted by nine uniquely themed worlds featuring larger-than-life light sculptures and immersive multimedia. The highlight was a special New Year’s Eve experience, inviting families and friends to picnic under the stars.

Over at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, the Come Together series captivated audiences with vibrant performances by homegrown musicians, offering a lively soundtrack to the festivities.

Adding a touch of inspiration, Brightening Lives illuminated The Fullerton Hotel Singapore with eight powerful light projections. Created by artists with disabilities from ART:DIS in collaboration with The Majurity Trust, the artwork celebrated SG60 values with messages of resilience, community, and hope.

Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2025 closed out the year on a high note, uniting the nation in a glittering celebration of past achievements and future aspirations.
