Another live-service game has dug itself into an early grave, and this time, it is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Rocksteady announced that it will end support for the game in January 2025 after Season 4which represents the latest new content for the title.
It was revealed via Official blog postthe game's final season will feature a new playable character, Deathstroke, a medieval-themed endgame Elseworld content inspired by DC's Dark Knights of Steel comic book series along with finally introducing an offline mode.
While Rocksteady is winding down its content releases for the game, its main story campaign will remain playable offline and via co-op. The title, its in-game store, and LutherCoin will remain available for purchase alongside all previously released seasonal content. The studio has not revealed any news about how long it plans to keep the game online after Season 4 concludes.
The end of the game service was not surprising, considering the decline in the number of players, which became minimal 1000 peak number of players over 24 hours As of time of writing.
