In this article, we'll look at how to use HeroForge to create custom 28mm miniatures for D&D or any other tabletop RPG. This is a lot of fun and only takes about ten minutes.
What is a Heroforge?
HeroForge is a website that allows you to design your own custom miniatures for use in Dungeons & Dragons. It's a great way to customize your favorite character from scratch.
Step 1: Choose your character and customize it
There are thousands of options available, including weapons, clothing, armor, and even accessories such as hats or shoes.
Start by choosing your species. Will your character be a dwarf? dwarf? demon?
Next, choose your head, body, equipment and other accessories. Customize your character's appearance by adjusting features such as piercings, facial features, glasses, and more.
If you're playing a ranger, have your miniature hold a bow or crossbow in one hand (or both).
Play wizard or magician? Consider having them hold a spell book or staff in one hand.
Will you be participating in a D&D game as a fighter, rogue, or barbarian? Have them use a two-handed weapon like an ax or a sword!
Step 2: Select the mode
Once you've perfected your character's look, choose a pose. Choose from dozens of options – show off their special moves or cool moves!
Step 3: Get the STL file
Click “Buy”, choose “Download STL” and “Add to Cart”.
HeroForge will prompt you to create a HeroForge account, simply follow the steps and once done, you will be taken to the checkout screen. An STL file from HeroForge will cost you $7.99.
Once you enter your payment information and click Pay Now, you will see a confirmation message on the website.
The STL file of your character model will be sent to the email address you provided.
Step 4: Send us your STL file to view and print
After we receive it, we will review the form and respond to you by message Price estimate.
If all is well, we'll send you an invoice and start printing!
