21-year-old NTU student found dead in campus residence

A 21-year-old male student at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) was found dead in his campus dormitory on 3 December 2024. The incident occurred at the Tanjong Hall of Residence, located at 64 Nanyang Crescent.

According to 8world, police confirmed receiving a call for assistance at around 7:45 am.

Upon arrival, they discovered the individual unresponsive. According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force, paramedics declared the student dead at the scene.

The deceased was a first-year student enrolled in NTU’s Renaissance Engineering Programme. Preliminary investigations by police indicate no foul play in the case.

An NTU spokesperson confirmed the university is cooperating with police investigations. Additionally, the institution is providing counselling services to the deceased’s family and friends during this difficult period.

The case remains under investigation, and further details have not been disclosed.
